Happy Mother's Day!
We wish all of the mothers -- ours and others -- a happy Mother's Day. Although we are far away, our thoughts are with you.
For Judy, thank you for all of the chatty emails, blog comments, and phone calls. I was just getting used to talking to you every day, Mom; this once every week or two is hard!
For Barbara, Happy Mother's Day. Joey wishes he could be around for the Big Southern Lunch. (Honestly, he has been talking about it for days.) We will be home sooner than expected and can't wait to come eat, er visit.
For Liz, we hope your trip went (is going?) well. We think of you, our extra MIL, often and hope the kitties get better soon.
Our new niece, Libby Peyt, arrived on April 23 making Marla a mother thrice-over. Both baby and mom are doing well. We will post a picture or two soon -- definitely before she is 16. Three is a lot, Marla. We know our moms made it look easy but we are sending you a little bit extra patience and luck, just in case.
We had some additional good news last week. Looks like Kim and Nick will be adding to the southern brood in the next 5, 6, or 7 months. Congratulations on your impending mom-ness, Kim.
To Katy, Laura, Des, Lavi (almost), Brandi: we miss your friendly mothering greatly. Happy Mother's Day. We hope that your kids (and husbands) do something special for you today.
