Out of touch in India

We have made it to India, and despite a few hangups we are safe and well. We spent a few days in Mumbai (Bombay) and took a train to go see some ancient caves in Arangabad (which Erin has studied before). Now we are in Delhi where it is close to 110 degrees and we are doing our best.

India has proven to be one of our hardest destinations, and we'd write more if we had better internet access. Also, we know that each country we visit takes a little adjustment time, and we don't want to sound too down on the place before we give it a chance.

Thanks to eveyone who has e-mailed to check in on us. Yes, we are ok, and we'll be in touch. As soon as we can figure out how to function in this heat, we'll probably post our final pics from Cambodia and some from India. We hope all is well back home. We miss everyone and we are now counting the days until our return.

Ah, well so much for giving India a chance. We are leaving two weeks early. The chaos, heat, illnesses, and hassle did us in. We definitely want to return in the future when it is not at the tail-end of an already long journey. As it is, we look forward to getting to Istanbul on Thursday.
I apologize for the lack of posts. We have had difficulty finding decent Internet access in India. Please keep checking the site because we will do the India posts when we find a good USB port.

glad you are ok...I was missing y'all alot because I check the posts several times daily to see if you've posted. I apparently watch too many movies, because I thought the worst had happened. Your posts are very addictive. Sorry that you are leaving India so soon...however, that will allow for a visit later in life. The adventure will continue in the states. YIPPEE!
