Home Depot Humor

Erin decided to continue painting, while I ran to Home Depot for some supplies. I always feel like I'm forgetting something, so I grabbed my cel phone on my way out. Luckily, my cel has a built in camera, so I can snap photos like the one above.

The sign actually says "order here" but someone hung something over the final letter. So, as you can see it says "order her". Home Depot always has something fun to check out.

Lunchtime Progress

I won't keep boring you with every detail of our progress, but we've had some success. I've been a bit wary about removing the radiators, while Erin has been confident all along. We were both right.

The picture at the top of this post is identical to the final pic in the previous post, except there is no radiator in the new version. WooHoo! Removing radiator #1 was cake. Erin flexed her muscles, and lifted the radiators by herself and said "didn't it take 5 guys to move this one last time?"

Removing radiator #2 was more difficult. One of the parts broke while I was trying to remove it. Bogus! I didn't know my own strengh. I think that it is particularly ironic that the newspaper which is taped to the floor is the job market section.

Anyway, it is now out of the way, and we are on to painting.

After we grab a bite to eat.

more "more than we can chew"

We have been looking for jobs, and each had some promising aspects. However, we have been unsuccessful so far.

In the meantime, we have decided to do another home project or two. We have time and a little bit of cabin fever, so we have plenty of energy to burn while sanding and taping and painting. We are even going to refinish the floors once we get the walls done - hopefully by the end of the weekend!

It is nice to see progress on the house, and now that Ben and Kim have moved out we don't feel bad about doing construction work at all hours of the night and day.

On another note, we are leaving for the UK next Friday. This is officially the last leg of our trip, and it is approaching faster than we expected. Erin and I are excited about getting out of Seattle, since the winter has apparently already arrived. I have a feeling that England will have a similarly cold temp - it'll just be in Celcius.

It's so easy, even Joey can do it

I love those Geico commercials, but I'm not EVEN going to watch the show based on the characters. So, in honor of the cavemen (and cave women), the following post is all in caveman speak.

We working hard look for jobs.

We move Ben and Kim out house.
