The eagles have landed

In December & January, bald eagles visit the Skagit River to feed on all of the salmon that has recently died after spawning season. Erin & I decided to go see the eagles for our Christmas Day celebration. We obviously opened presents and visited friends, but we agree that there is something magical in the mountains.

We hope you and yours had (are having) a safe and wonderful holiday season. Give us a call if you can. We'd love to hear from you.

PS - If you are interested, there is more info about the bald eagles in Skagit County and the Skagit County Bald Eagle Festival.

Three Hundred Sixty-Five days ago

One year ago today, Erin and I left the country to begin our trip around the world.
This photo is from that day. You can see that we are a bit nervous - a bit over packed - and oh, so excited!

So much has happened

So, we have been super busy recently, and our blog has suffered because of it. I'll try to catch you up to speed.

First, Joey got a job, and has been getting back into the grove of working/commuting/making money. It was going well until he got into a fender bender - now he has a crunched up car. If you look carefully at the photo above, you can see the hood has a bit of "character".

Erin has accepted a job at Microsoft working on the MSN.com homepage. Sounds like a load of fun for her. We just have to figure out how our commute to the East side is going to work. We may be seeing a new car in our near future.

As you can also see in the photo above, it snowed in Seattle yesterday. What an exciting afternoon. We just wish that it would stay on the ground longer. However, this does mean snow in the mountains, so snowboarding is DEFINITELY in our near future!
